Paid online survey sites are cyclical and my list of favorites has changed every few months. There are other survey sites that I didn’t like at all in the beginning, but have come to like over time. Some survey sites actually listen to member complaints and suggestions and work to improve the way they handle issues and payments. Here’s my current list of the top 10 survey sites. Founded in 1999 by GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.), Global Test Market is an international global consumer research panel. GMI conducts market research studies on a global level, and they currently have more than 1400 market research clients in more than 60 countries worldwide. This allows them to provide a global solution for companies that wish to conduct online consumer research across multiple countries. Some of their surveys are rewarded with sweepstakes entries for their daily and monthly cash drawings.

1) Start by joining Global Test Market, and complete your profile surveys. This will qualify you for more paid survey opportunities.

2) After joining you can find information on current studies by checking your email for survey invitations, and by logging into the Global Test Market member’s area and clicking on the surveys tab.

3) Complete surveys and earn points. Most surveys average anywhere from 35 to 50 Market Points for completing a survey. If you don’t qualify for that particular survey study, they will usually reward you with 1 entry into their daily drawing, and 1 entry intoB their monthly drawing.

4) In addition a select number of surveys are rewarded with sweepstakes entries.

Global Test Market is a solid research company. They do a great job of providing numerous studies for their panel members, which makes their 1000-point redemption threshold fairly easy to attain. I receive about 2 surveys a day from GTM, and this is one reason why it is at the top of my list. 

Opinion Outpost is a survey research panel that is operated by Opinionology, a survey research data collection company based in Utah. Opinion Outpost works with marketing research companies from all over the world as well as many Fortune 500 companies.

How to Earn Money with Opinion Outpost

1) Get started by joining Opinion Outpost.

2) Login to the members’ area and complete the profile surveys. If you fill out all of your profiles you will be more likely to receive more surveys.

3) Check your email for survey invitations, and also by logging into the Opinion Outpost member’s area and clicking on the “Available Surveys” link. Each survey link will indicate the number of reward points you can earn and the amount of time it will take to complete the survey. It can take up to one month to start receiving survey initiations, so be patient.

4) Complete surveys and earn points. Most surveys pay anywhere from 10 points to 50 points. Opinion Points should be credited to your account immediately after completing the survey. If you do not qualify for the survey study, you usually still get a chance to participate in one of several instant win or sweepstakes games in exchange for your effort.

Payment Terms

10 Opinion Points = $1.00 and you must accumulate a minimum of 50 Opinion Points ($5.00) to request your cash reward. You are also given the option to redeem your points for Amazon gift cards, and donations to the American Red Cross.

Payments are sent via check and can take up to 4-6 weeks from the date of redemption for your check to arrive, but I usually receive mine within 3 weeks.

Stay Active on the panel! You must take at least one survey every 3 months or your Opinion Points will expire. So if you plan on not taking surveys for a while, be sure to redeem your points first.

Opinion Outpost has a great payment system. They will award your points to your account immediately after you successfully complete each survey.

Opinion Outpost is one the most reputable survey sites on the web. It is on my top ten list and I definitely recommend it to everyone. I receive 2 or 3 surveys each day from Opinion Outpost, and the incentives are great.

Ipsos is one of the largest survey-based market research companies in the world. They give more than six million surveys, in more than 100 countries, each year. The Ipsos i-Say panel is part of Ipsos North America, and are registered with Casro, ESOMAR, MRA, and MRIA, the top global market research organizations. They reward their members with points that can be redeemed for cash or prizes, and other opportunities to win great prizes for completing online surveys.

1) Start by joining Ipsos i-Say.

2) After joining you will receive a confirmation email. There you will find a link to confirm your registration and complete the “Getting to Know You” survey. This survey is important since it will be used to help match you up with survey studies, and you will receive an entry for their quarterly $5000 sweepstakes.

3) Take the surveys that are sent to you. You should receive up to 4 survey invitations per month. You can also log into the members area and click the “My Surveys” tab to see the current surveys available for you to take

4) You will earn reward points for each survey you take. 1000 points = $10. Plus, you will get to take their Poll Predictor game at the end of each survey for more chances to win prizes. You can earn between 10 to 500 points for most of the surveys you take.

Payment Terms

The minimum points required to redeem a prize is 500 points for a $5 American Express Gift Card. The minimum points required to redeem cash is 1000 points / $10.

When you redeem your points for rewards or a cash payment, they will be mailed to you at the address you provided.

Delivery of all rewards can take five to eight weeks from the time of redemption.

Ipsos i-Say has definitely improved their panel recently, and is now offering enhanced point values for completing surveys. In addition, as a member you have several changes to win prizes in various contests that are available for active members. Ipsos I-Say sends me 2 or 3 surveys each day worth one to two dollars.

Synovate launched in 2003 and is an expanding global market research company that gathers opinions on products and services for corporations worldwide. The official name of their panel is Global Opinion Panels. Members that complete online surveys are entered into sweepstakes drawings for cash, and also earn reward points, which are redeemable for cash.

1) Get started by joining Synovate and complete the profiles in the member’s area.

2) After joining the panel you will receive survey invitations by email or you can check the member’s area for your current surveys.

3) Then just take the surveys that are sent and earn points for completing surveys.

Payment Terms

5000 points / $5 minimum required for payment redemption.

It can take 6 to 8 weeks for delivery of your check, once you redeem your points, but I usually get my check within 3 weeks.

Synovate’s Global Opinion Panel offers a fair compensation, generally in the $0.50 to $5 dollar range, and most people can expect at least a one survey invitation per week. However, survey frequency depends on your demographics and the current studies available. I receive about 2 or 3 surveys a week from Synovate, and typically receive $1 per survey.

American Consumer Opinion panel is owned and operated by Decision Analyst, Inc., an international market research firm, which is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. ACO rewards its members with cash in exchange for participating in online surveys.

How to Earn Money with ACO

1) Start by joining American Consumer Opinion.

2) Expect to receive a short “screener” survey every six weeks or so. These short surveys generally contain less than 15 questions, and are used to determine whether your demographics match up with the topic of the survey. If you are not chosen to complete the complete survey study, you are still entered into drawing for cash rewards.

3) If you are chosen to continue on with the survey study, you will receive a series of more detailed questions about your opinions, your experiences, types of products you use, etc. In exchange for completing the full survey, you will be paid anywhere from $4 to $50. The offered amount is usually proportional to the length of time the study takes.

You can request your earnings once you have at least $10 in your account.

Payments can be redeemed by check, and can take three to four weeks for delivery.

While American Consumer Opinion may not have as many survey offerings as some of the other panels, they do pay well for each completed. I only receive about 1 survey a week from them, but they each are worth 4 dollars or more.

Survey Savvy is part of Luth Research, LLC., a market research leader since 1977. Based in San Diego, California, Luth Research, LLC. has conducted countless interviews, focus groups and surveys for their clients. They have over 1.5 million members across 190 countries earning cash by participating in their online paid surveys. Membership to their panel is free, and they offer cash and sweepstakes entries for members that participate and complete their online survey studies.

1) Join Survey Savvy and complete your profile surveys. This will qualify you for more paid survey opportunities.

2) After joining you will receive survey invitations by email.

3) Complete the survey invitations that are emailed to you. Most surveys average anywhere from $1 to $10 in pay for completing a survey. If you are not qualified for the particular survey study, they will usually reward you with a sweepstakes entry for their monthly drawing for fifty $10 prizes.

4) They also have a referral program where you can earn more money by referring your friends.

Survey Savvy offers good compensation for each survey, and the quality of their surveys is excellent. Plus, they have a very low threshold for payment. I receive about 5-6 surveys a week from them.

Survey Spot is a online paid survey panel that was created by Survey Sampling International, a market research company that was founded in 1977. Survey Sampling provides survey solutions for the market research industry in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and Asia, however the SurveySpot panel is limited to the United States.

1) Join the Survey Spot panel.

2) After joining you can find information on current studies by checking your email for survey invitations. Each Survey Invitation will list the topic, estimated time to complete the survey, and the reward offered.

3) Complete surveys and earn cash rewards. Not all of their survey invitations offer cash rewards, but each completed survey will at least give you an entry in their sweepstakes and a chance to win an instant reward. If you only want to take the cash paying surveys, be sure to pay attention to the incentive offered in the details of the emailed survey invitation.

Send Earnings and Inbox Dollars are unique in that they’re not just your typical survey sites. They are sister sites both operated by Cotter Web Enterprises. Both offer you the chance to participate in doing paid emails, shopping and playing online games. So basically they are a combination between a survey site and a get paid to complete offers site. Their membership is free.

How to Earn Money with Send Earnings and Inbox Dollars

1) Get started by joining Send Earnings and Inbox Dollars, and complete your profile surveys.

2) After joining you can complete the daily surveys (one survey each day). Also you will be paid 2 cents to read their paid emails. You will receive about 3 or 4 emails a day.

4) Each daily survey is worth 50 cents. In addition, members can earn more money by completing offers and playing games.

Brand Institute, founded in 1993, provides an extensive global panel that conducts market research in industries ranging from pharmaceutical to consumer products. The panel currently has over 7 million members worldwide. They pay cash (anywhere from $2 to $30 or more) per completed survey by check or PayPal. They have panels both for consumers and people with a medical background, so everyone is welcome to join.

How to Earn Money with Brand Institute

1) Join the panel and complete your member profiles.

2) After joining you can find information on current studies by checking your email for survey invitations or checking the member’s area for open surveys.

3) Then just respond to the survey invitations you receive. Most surveys average anywhere from $2 to $30 for completing a survey depending on length and survey topic.
